We are dedicated to providing hands-on science opportunities that EDUCATE and EMPOWER your STEM identity.

Our parking lot is located off of James Street, and we share parking with the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce. If the lot is full, street parking is available.

Within city limits, residents and visitors can utilize River City Transit.

Admission

All admission rates include tax.

• Get your Exhibit Hall Day Passes in advance!
• Become a SDDC Members (includes unlimited FREE admission to the Exhibit Hall and an ASTC Travel Passport to over 500 science centers around the world)

GENERAL ADMISSION

• $7.00, per person
• $5.00, active military, veterans, seniors (65+), AAA Members
• Visitors under 2 are FREE!
• SDDC Members are FREE!

GROUP VISITS (Book in Advance)

• $5.00 per person, groups of 20+ visitors
• $4.00 per child, tax exempt groups (must submit tax exempt at time of booking request)

Group chaperones get FREE admission!

MUSEUMS FOR ALL

• $3.00 per household member

We are a Museums for All Member, offering reduced admission to the SDDC Exhibit Hall and our programs to all visitors that receive SNAP, WIC, or TANF benefits. No proof necessary.

ASTC TRAVEL PASSPORT HOLDERS

• FREE! admission for each passport holder

We are an ASTC Member, and if you are a SDDC Member or a member of another ASTC organization, so are you! With your ASTC Travel Passport you get free general admission to other ASTC science institutions outside your local area. Join the Savviest of science-loving families and adults and visit more than 350 science centers and museums in 20 countries around the world!
