Make it happen!
Vote for our Makerspace.

We are honored to have been selected as one of the finalists for United We Can special project funds. Winning projects will be selected by the Hughes and Stanley County community through voting which opens on April 24.

Our goal is to create a maker space in the exhibit hall so we can continue to offer the children and families of our community fun, hands-on experiences with science, technology, engineering and math.

What is a maker space? It’s a workshop area for testing, tinkering, learning, inventing, and building. You can see an example of a Maker Space at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

Why a Maker Space? Hear one young lady talk about the benefits of a Maker Space in her community in Detroit.
